Rules
- To have fun.
- Follow the rules of the USGA has established and remember rule
1.
- No mulligans
- Order of Play - The BGA plays ready golf, so whenever your ready
to hit your shot go for it.
- Tee Ground - Once you hit your tee shot and your group leaves
the teeing area you can’t go back to the tee box and re-tee.
You must decide before you leave the teeing area if you are going
to hit another shot from the tee. If you go back to the teeing
area and hit your next shot after you leave the teeing area you
shall incur a penalty of two strokes.
- Ball Played as It Lies - You must play the ball as it lies except
if one of the follow accure.
- If your ball is in the fairway but not on any grass or in
a bare spot you can move the ball to the nearest point of
relief no closer to the hole without penalty.
- If your ball is in the fairway and comes to rest in a divot
you may not move it.
- If your ball is not in the fairway and comes to rest in
a bare spot or spot without grass you may move the ball to
the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole without
change of swing or improved angle to green and improved address
of ball.
- If your ball is in a hazard or in a bunker you must play
the ball as it lies
- Lost Ball or Out of Bounds - If you can’t find you ball
after 5 minutes for searching for it or you know your ball is
Out of Bounds you have two options.
- If you’re still in the teeing area you can re-hit
from the tee box with a one stroke penalty.
- If you find your ball or see your ball go Out of Bounds
you can drop a ball with a one stroke penalty within two clubs
lengths from where your ball was last in play.
- The Committee - If you have any question about these rules
please talk with the committee after the round.

These rules are to help clear things up and help everyone have a
good time. Remember rule # 1.
